Lutheran

My community of faith inspires me.

Quick Thoughts!
As I prepare for bed...
Being a recollection of inspirations that waltzed through my mind during this morning's worship gathering at blc.

Joanna - the steadiest percussionist I know personally. I've told her so enough times to embarrass her, I think ;).

It is inspiring to see people worship wholeheartedly.

It is inspiring to see cutesy-wutesy babies in the worship gathering.

It is inspiring to hear the strains of the violin.

It is inspiring to see people worship.
When you know their stories. When you know the pain they feel and the trouble they face.
And when you see them worship anyway - it is inspiring.

It is inspiring to see people behind the scenes, keeping things up front running well.

My community of faith inspires me.

Godly Play had the adults captivated as well as the kids

No clown suit, no loud music, no jumping around. Just children enraptured with the message.

And almost all the adults ;).

"It ain't as homey, but if the homies are there, it's home."

How'd I feel about today's First Worship Gathering of blc at the Luther Centre?

1. It sure ain't as homey.

1.1. But as long as the homies are there, it's home.

2. It was nice to have so many visitors. I think almost half the crowd were visitors. Probably not that much, but it sure felt like that!

2.1. At the coffee before the worship service, it sure felt like there were more visitors than members!

2.1.1. I think that might have to do with the fact that the regulars showed up later than the visitors ;).

3. At least, with coffee at 10.30, almost everyone was there by the time the worship proper started, haha.

3.1. I think chatting and borak-borak is an integral part of worship.

3.2. As is coffee.

4. Photos are here! http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=124828&id=600721057

4.1. I realise that I need to take a lot more photos. After eliminating the rejects, I'm only left with 13!

Chinese people like to keep things wrapped in plastic (see The Joy Luck Club).

I love the ampleness of the seats at Luther Centre chapel. I think we
should pull off the plastic wrap from the armrests, tho!

We are moving to Luther Centre’s Chapel from this Sunday!

We are finally moving out of BLC Bangsar premises, and settling at Luther Centre’s Chapel for a while. This is to prepare for the anticipated renovation in Bangsar premises.

So from this Sunday of October 4, 2009,  onwards, the nomads of BLC will start congregating at Luther Centre’ Chapel. It’s located on the Lower Ground Level of Luther Centre.

Venue: Chapel, Lower Ground, Luther Centre, No. 4 Jalan Utara, Petaling Jaya.
Time: 10.30 am, kicking off with coffee and tea.

Come to meet each other, catch up and also get to know our guests from overseas.

See you at Luther Centre. Please spread the word around to avoid people turning up at Bangsar. Have fun.

A note from blc's Administrator aka "my wife".

One last moonlit fling at The Father's House, this Friday night...

I understand Naomi will be serving the antidote to mooncake ingestion - real brewed Chinese tea!

(Not blue tea, G.)

It's an open event, so if you're reading this - you're invited!
